The AceAxis universal test platform (A-UP) is available for customers developing conformance and test equipment for LTE user equipment (UE) handset or base station (BTS) system in order to become an integral part of their complete test platforms.

The platform is available either in FDD or TDD LTE and WiMAX air duplexing interface. AceAxis LTE test platforms offer flexible multi-gigabit BTS connections communicating via OBSAI, CPRI or custom OEM fiber interfaces. The test platform supports MIMO testing and programmable signal bandwidth. By providing a controlled stable environment it allows customers to test either BTS or UE performance, including: RF conformance, over-air multi-user scalability, degraded signal to noise tolerance, dynamic switching and power profiles.

The module has programmable signal bandwidth capability. The output power of each transmitter is +0dBm (nominal maximum) with an adjustable range of 40dB. The receiver has a maximum useable input signal of -10dBm (no damage input level of +10dBm) and provides up to 50dB dynamic range.

The AceAxis A-UP LTE test platform is comprised of an AxisIPR™ configurable IP radio processor, along with AxisOS™ remote management and optional local debug interfaces (allowing fast integration and significantly reduced time to deployment). Two customer interfaces are available: RS-232 and Ethernet, allowing both remote control of the test platform and full debug support. A Linux environment allows customers to develop their own applications for custom testing.

The large FPGA size combined with superior AceAxis software radio technology delivers the platform required to simulate multiple UEs or multi-carrier BTS to test equipment vendors providing real test conditions for both Mobile and Base Station developers’ technology.

The unit features an industry standard 19-inch rack modular design for indoor use. Rack mounting is made via the front panel combined with a range of additional enclosure-supporting options or customisations.
