Principal Antenna Engineer

AceAxis wishes to recruit an experienced Principal Antenna Engineer to join a well established antenna technology team based in Harlow in the UK.

AceAxis is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ace Technology, a long established Korean wireless equipment supplier with over 30 years history of delivering RF infrastructure into a global market. AceAxis is based in the UK and delivers new enabling technologies into its established antenna and RF conditioning products and into its rapidly expanding remote radio business.

The Harlow antenna team is currently engaged in developing a number of new technology solutions for Ace’s global basestation antenna business including those for use in near term product developments as well as longer term new product concepts. Applicants should have a sound theoretical and practical understanding of antenna design, and the associated aspects of RF design, and be experienced in using electromagnetic CAD tools such as HFSS and/or CST. Previous experience of working in a specialist antenna team on both technology and product development programmes is also ideally required. The ability to innovate new designs and technologies within the constraints of low cost manufacture is a key aspect of AceAxis’ work and all engineers have to be able to work effectively in this context. AceAxis also develops active RF solutions which may involve integrated or closely coupled antenna designs, and an understanding and experience of working with such applications would be valuable. Engineers within AceAxis work closely with their Korean colleagues and so multi-site, multi-cultural and split time-zone work is an important aspect of the work.

Principal Antenna Engineer £30k - £40k

2:1 Degree or better in relevant discipline
5 years or more academic and/or industry experience in antenna design
Strong theoretical background in antenna design
Experience of antenna product design
Track record of innovation
